2hr Balloon workshop - £55 per person
Minimum 2 students – Run from Friday through to Monday.
This is the perfect workshop If you prefer the idea of spending more time creating something beautiful rather than learning how to cut glass and all the technical side of things with glass fusing. In this workshop, the balloon is pre-cut for you, leaving you to design it however you would like, or you can take inspiration from the samples or bring your own design. We use tile cutters to nip the glass into shape. You also have a selection of frit, stringers and murine to choose from to embellish your balloon with. This workshop is suitable for a wider audience such as Hen Parties, Corporate events and team building to name but a few.
An element of patience is required as there’s quite a bit of nipping away at glass to create these designs, but they are truly worth it and you will go away feeling you have really achieved something wonderful.
The workshop will start off with a brief discussion about all the products available to you so you can decorate your Balloon and what to consider when choosing your colour of glass and why. I will give a quick demonstration on how to use the tile cutters, and then you are off!
Refreshments are provided throughout the workshop.
Please ensure you wear closed toe shoes, wear something comfortable and avoid anything that will drape in your work such as a long necklace or long flowing sleeves.
