3 Hour Taster Workshop - Set Projects

3HR TASTER WORKSHOP – Run from Friday through to Monday.

£95 per person – No Experience Necessary

Minimum 2 students – Maximum 4

This workshop is the perfect starting point as you get a little taster of several techniques and options. We will first explain how fused glass works, all the various options you have with this wonderful medium, including slumping and the choices you have with powders, frit, stringers, murine, inclusions & fibre paper. You will then have a brief lesson on how to cut glass before we discuss what you will be making and what to consider when choosing your colour options and why.

Everyone works at different speeds so there is no pressure to rush as it's more important that you enjoy your experience and are happy with what you have made.

During your 3hrs, we aim to make a maximum of 3 items:

1 x 10cm x 20cm Suncatcher

2 x 10cm x 10cm coasters and you can choose if you want these to be functional or buy a frame and make them into wall art.

Firings to complete your work above are included in the price, but should you want to have any items slumped into a mould to make a trinket dish or free-standing curve so your suncatcher turns into a tealight for example, then an additional charge of £15 per firing is applied.

Hot and cold refreshments & biscuits are provided throughout the course.

Please ensure you wear closed toe shoes, wear something comfortable and avoid anything that will drape in your work such as a long necklace or long flowing sleeves.
