3 Hour Christmas Workshop

Christmas workshop – 3hrs - min 2 students - £95

Run from Friday through to Monday day time and 6pm – 9pm Monday – Friday.

This workshop is so much fun, that we run it all year round as and when our students require it. No experience is necessary as you will be taught everything you need to know during your time with us. If you have had previous fusing experience and feel confident about cutting glass and putting your ideas together then you are more than welcome to bring your own designs.

In a 3hr workshop you get allocated a certain amount of glass and depending on what you choose to make you can achieve between 3 and 8 items. This could be 8 small hanging decorations or a Christmas tree, tealight and bauble for example.

 We will explain how fused glass works, the choices you have and what to consider when selecting your colours and why.

We start off with a 20-minute lesson on cutting glass and how best to achieve the desired shapes without the use of expensive equipment and then talk through the design options and start creating!

At the end of the workshop, we will discuss the firing programme and explain the various stages.

Advice is given on suitable workshops to further your interest should you become hooked!

Refreshments are provided throughout the workshop.

Please ensure you wear closed toe shoes, wear something comfortable and avoid anything that will drape in your work such as a long necklace or long flowing sleeves.

If you require a wooden base for your work, then subject to availability, these are charged at an extra cost and custom fitted to your piece of work.
