2hr Dragonfly workshop - £65 per person
Minimum 2 students – Run from Friday through to Monday.
This is the perfect workshop If you prefer the idea of spending more time creating something beautiful rather than learning how to cut glass and all the technical side of things with glass fusing. In this workshop, the wings and tail are pre-cut for you, leaving you to make the head and main body. This is achieved by using tile cutters to nip the glass into shape which also makes it suitable for a wider audience such as Hen Parties, Corporate events and team building to name but a few. You then assemble and decorate your dragonfly using a choice of beautiful colours from a wide variety of glass.
An element of patience is required as there’s quite a bit of nipping away at glass to create the head and body along with the process to construct these Dragonflies, but they are truly worth it and you will go away feeling you have really achieved something wonderful.
The workshop will start off with a brief discussion about the options you have and what to consider when choosing your colour of glass and why. I will give a quick demonstration on how the Dragonflies get constructed and how to use the tile cutters, and then you are off!
Refreshments are provided throughout the workshop.
Please ensure you wear closed toe shoes, wear something comfortable and avoid anything that will drape in your work such as a long necklace or long flowing sleeves.
