3 Hour Flower Making Workshop

I’m excited to introduce my own design for beautiful glass flowers with their unique stamens, suitable for inside the home or in the garden. Please think carefully where you will put them away from animals or children.

These beauties involve 5 processes, far more than our standard 3hr workshops. Making the flowers requires two firings, one to fuse the flowers and one to slump them into hand thrown pottery moulds that give them their individual shape to become flowers. Once slumped into the moulds, the flowers then need a hole drilled into the centre of the glass so the copper stems can be attached. I pre make the copper stems that allow the unique centre design. Finally, the copper stem needs to be assembled to the flowers.

For your £149, it includes the following:

• Up to 3hrs of tuition
• 2 Firings
• Copper rods with unique stamens designed by myself
• Small kiln shelves to make your flowers on
• Kiln paper so your flowers don’t stick to the shelf
• All glass and equipment to make either1 double flower (The pink example which is essentially two flowers put together to create the chrysanthemum look) or 1 large and                1 small flower, or 3 small flowers.
• Drilling the holes for you should you not want to come back and learn that part yourself.
• Assembling your flowers to the copper rods should you not want to come back and learn that yourself.
• Additional time allocated to students who would like to drill the holes and assemble themselves.
